Root Canal

Now I have a true understanding of the expression "I'd rather have a root canal than (fill in the blank)"… Yesterday I went in to have an old filling replaced and ended up with a root canal. I had to go back today, and have to go back again in two weeks so they can "pretty it up"… On a scale of one to ten (one being the worst), I'd have to rate the experience at around a five… Only momentary pain here and there, and just unpleasant noises and smells, and the whole gagging on your own saliva while trying to keep your mouth open thing… and then the days of throbbing pain and potential infection… I honestly think childbirth was more fun… I'm swearing off sugar and all refined food… no more cavities for me… Well, good intentions anyway…
