The movers finished packing and loading all our stuff today, so our house is empty. Now it feels official… we're moving. It's funny… I thought it would feel more monumental, but it just feels like another day… I don't even feel that displaced. Nothing like that nomadic spirit. When it takes two days to pack and load the entire contents of your home, you realize how truly tied down we are by our material possessions. I remember when we first got married, Darren and I could move all our belongings in a tiny U-Haul trailer by ourselves. Now it takes five guys and a tractor trailer.
