Whoa! I was really starting to go through Internet withdrawal. The cable guy came just in time today. Yeah! I haven't even downloaded my email yet because I know two-weeks worth of it will be a lot. Of course, after I delete all the SPAM, I should have about five left. Ha.
It's been an exhausting week. Our household shipment arrived at the beginning of the week, and I've spent the last three days diligently unpacking, and I've only made a tiny dent. But, things will come together. It just feels great to actually have a place of our own again. We're having fun doing a little painting, too. I painted our office a dark red on the bottom of the chair rail, and then, what I thought would be a mauvy yellow on the top, but it turned out to look more like catsup and mustard. Oh well… I'll live with it for awhile…
My mom has been visiting for the past week or so and has helped me organize a bit and try to keep the kids busy. She's on her way back to Connecticut tomorrow and Darren and I are looking forward to just vegging for the holiday weekend. Maybe we'll actually go grocery shopping and fill up our empty fridge. I got all the kitchen boxes unpacked today and the counters cleared off, so we can stop living on take-out and actually use the kitchen.
Well, everyone's asleep, so I think I might take advantage of this time and download my ton of email. I hope you are all doing well. Glad to be back!
