Today I took the kids and Bruno (our puppy) into DC for the afternoon, and to pick up Darren after work. It was one of those rare trips where I got a great parking spot within minutes of getting into the downtown area, and the weather was perfect for walking around. Part of the purpose of the trip was to expose Bruno to new sights and sounds and LOTS of people, as he is stranger-phobic. I think he did really well.
While we were having lunch out on the patio of Java Green in DC, Flo lost her third baby tooth. She was very excited, as it has been dangling there for days. So, when she went to bed tonight, she had it all prepared the Tooth Fairy's visit. I just have to make sure the Tooth Fairy doesn't fall asleep and forget to leave some loot. That would certainly not be very polite.
My web host had a meltdown last week, and subsequently lost five weeks work of data. Stupid me… I didn't have a backup on my harddrive, so if you've looked at our photo album, you may have noticed that some pictures have disappeared. I have to re-do the past two months to update it again, but I've been lazy. I'll get to it.
I do believe everyone is asleep! Time to take puppy out for his final potty adventure before bedtime, and retire to the couch to veg out in front of the boob tube. This will hopefully be a prelude to a full, uninterrupted night of sleep. Dare to dream!
Hey! There are 3 visitors here right now! I am impressed. Stopped by your homeschooler blog. I like it. I didn’t realize you walked so much! That is a wonderful habit to be into…any secrets on how you do it so much? I think it is too cold out most days, now. Even in the warmer months, it just seems easier to sit still.
We should have Flo over this week and have them play a board game together. Don’t know why I never thought of that before…duh.
Do you have a link somewhere around here to the creativity challenge thing? I got your rules, but didn’t get a chance to email you back. They are fine, and no, I can’t think of anything to add.
We are going to the Smithsonian on Sunday. If I can stay awake long enough, I will email you.
Love,
Julie
