Zofia Roze Petite was born at 3:22am on August 19, after a whole one hour of labor! I woke up at 2:20am, and we barely made it to the hospital entrance. Aside from almost delivering in the hospital ER entrance, having meconium in my water, and having the cord wrapped around her neck, everything went really quickly and turned out well. She weighed 6 lbs, 8 oz. So, actually, despite my last post predicting she would be late like my last two pregnancies, she was right on time, and entered the world with much haste!
We got home yesterday, and have just been relaxing. Darren is taking off until Wednesday, then working Thursday and Friday, and then taking three more days next week, too. So, it's nice having Darren around a little more for awhile, especially after all the overtime he's been putting in over the past couple of months.
So, now it's just on with the process of creating a new routine and adjusting to having a new baby around. Like right now, baby is squirming, so I have to go… a little less computer time for mom for awhile… but that's okay… it's the best experience!
