I left Belleoram early today and made it about three hours out, just 30 miles down the Trans Canada Hiway, and the electrical cut out in the truck… I barely could pull over to the side of the road… I called 911, because I couldn't think of anything else to do with two kids and a broken down truck… They sent a tow truck out… The truck is now sitting at Crown Ford in Grand Falls, Newfoundland and Flo, Joe and I are staying at the Mount Peyton Hotel just across the hiway. We got the last room available, which just happens to be a bridal suite, so the kids and I are enjoying the jacuzzi tub and mirrored walls…
Meanwhile, my mom made it to Port Aux Basque, Newfoundland this morning and was waiting our arrival this afternoon… oops… So, I guess she's hanging out there, eating fried seafood, getting to know the hotel staff… Oh well… Things could be worse…
After almost three weeks in Belleoram, Processed Food Capital of North America, I'm so craving a good salad and some fresh veggies… Ack… I got some Chinese food delivered tonight to the hotel… it ranked up there with the worst Chinese Food I've ever had… basically Ramen noodles with soy sauce.
Joe is sleeping… I set him in the empty jacuzzi tub in his car seat… might as well get some use out of it…
Anyway, I have to call in the morning to see what's up with the truck… The guy that we spoke with today said he suspected the alternator… wonder if that's an expensive deal?
Well, off to watch The Jungle Book 2 AGAIN with Flo….
