We're never going to get a lawn… our yard is a mix of weeds and mud. Apparently the landscape guy who's supposed to put the sod in our yard is way behind, because the ground has to be dry for a stretch of time before they can pull up the sod without it breaking apart. Since we moved in, we haven't had more than two to three days at a time where we haven't had big rain storms… In fact, as I type this, there's thunder, lightening, and a downpour of rain… So, the chances of us getting our lawn in anytime soon are even more remote. It's too bad, too, because all this rain would be great for the lawn… Bummer.
This morning I took the kids to Greenbrier State Park for a homeschooling playgroup. We got a late start, and only ended up staying an hour or so because we were so hot. But, Flo had fun splashing around a bit in the lake/pond and Joe enjoyed watching everyone. I'm supposed to be taking Flo to Karate in a few minutes, but it's raining so hard and there's so much lightening, I'm not to inspired to go. Rain rain go away, come again another day!
