Well, the day was nice and relaxing, up until around 7pm. Darren and I were trying to put curtain rods up in Flo's room. I had to go talk to Florence twice during this time because she was running around full of energy, having just returned from her Karate class, and I was afraid she was going to knock Joe over or he was going to fall or something. This is a common occurance with two or more children, I suppose. Nonetheless, a few minutes later I heard Flo crying. Not the kind of cry like she hurt her brother and she knows she's in trouble, but the I really hurt myself cry… I took one look at her and started to panic a bit. She had a big purple bump smack-dab in the middle of her forehead that looked like a golf ball. After a few minutes of debating, we decided to take her to the ER… it was just too big. Anyway, long story short, by the time we sat in the ER waiting room for two hours (Darren sat in the car with Joe… fun), the bump was much diminished, and upon examination, they determined that she's fine. She had a great time… everyone was so complimentary to her, and she got stickers and lots of attention. I on the other hand felt like somewhat of a germ-freak as I tried not to sit near anyone coughing too profusely or looking too ill.
Anyway, we got home around 9:30pm, finished putting up the curtain rods, and Darren had to go to bed… off to work tomorrow. Joe's asleep and Flo is finishing up a new movie… Quest for Camelot, I believe. I'm supposed to keep an eye on her for six hours or so after a head injury, just to be safe. So, that means I'm staying up to 1 or 2am… nothing new for me. I discovered that Oprah is on at 1am… woo-hoo!
So, it was an eventful day….
