This morning we went to church in Frederick. My mom came along, since Darren wanted to sleep. He worked overtime yesterday, so I can't blame him. Not to mention that hobbling around in a cast is starting to get old, and he avoids any unnecessary movement.
After church, we went to the Common Market and got some stuff to try to make some healthy muffins. So, I spent the afternoon experimenting in the kitchen. The results weren't bad… for healthy muffins. They certainly don't taste like the cake muffins you get at bakeries, but the kids liked them, so that says something.
Other highlights of this week included organizing our DVD collection into those books that store up to 200 DVD's… ooooh… then, taking Joe to the dentist… that was fun. He needs to have a front tooth extracted. It didn't form correctly during developement, and it split in a weird place, so the nerve is exposed in the back. I'm really nervous about his reaction to the anasthesia. We have an appointment with an oral surgeon this month to get a clearer picture of what needs to be done. The worry never ends…
This evening will conclude with me chasing Joe around, trying to get him ready for bed, then arguing with Flo for about an hour about why she needs to go to bed. I'm sure it will be an enjoyable evening for all. And to top it off, I've got at least three loads of laundry and a sink full of dishes waiting to be done… It gives me real purpose, and a sense of fulfillment. (There I go, running away from the computer, laughing hysterically.)
